You've seen some really awesome posts by our DA brethren who were kind enough to do an El Zombo piece for my up coming book. I wanted to show one of my pages from start to finish, this is just a peek at the progress-I'll have notes and stuff on the big "How I am make picture..." post. Don't worry it won't be in Bizarro / Frankenstein speech ;)

Heh, very cool sketches, is that El Zombo with the really chubby cheeks? :)

Also, I did get a bit confused is El Zombo actually undead? If you don't mind me asking, what's his backstory? :)

nah zombo is the big guy on the left, chubby cheeks is a demon, and yeah he's undead he starts to rot when he strays from the path

Ah, what's this "path" that Zombo needs to stay on?

So demons and undead smoke too? I think Zombo should get in a smoking contest against them (or my own OC :lol:), you think Zombo could win in that? ;)

Its funny you posted this. I used to read the El Zombo comics to some of my students in an after school program and they loved it. I'm still tutoring one of the kids (its been a few years) and he asked specifically about you and that title. I told him about deviantart and showed him some of your recent stuff. Got him excited.

Thought you'd enjoy hearing that.
