The Norse (Vikings) actualy had a name for their restless dead, they called them Draugr. The thing about Draugr is they're much more dangerous due to the fact that they retain their memories and thinking skills.
They, like most cultures invented many ways of combating their restless dead. Just thought I'd throw a little historical context in here.
Yeah I'd be a little worried about a family member coming back from the dead considering they buried them with weapons, and according to the lore they were unstoppable except by powerfull warriors.
An enemy that knows where you live, that doesn't sleep and can't be killed.
My favorite burial practice is they'd take the corpse of a dead person out feet first, so they couldn't look back and see the way home.
Then they'd actualy fill in the door and make a wall and put a new door elsewhere in the house, so if a family memeber came back to kill the family they wouldn't find the door and be confused.
