I greatly admire your work - but I hope that they paid you really, really well to be associated with such a downright bad product as this.
Not even the superb quality of your cover here can redeem it, I'm afraid. And that's a real pity - because your skill is truly remarkable - and deserves far, far better.

If only they'd start it over and do it right... with a writer who actually care about the property rather than some schmuck going "You know what this needs? Blood. Lot's of it. Let's have He-Man chop some villains. OOH! Sorceress - more cleavage. And Orko... he's one evil S.O.B, isn't he?".
In other words, a writer who doesn't thing that extreme violence and blatant sexism equals quality.

What on earth are DC/Mattel thinking? Or, more accurately, why aren't they thinking at all?
A He-Man who kills - at all - but ESPECIALLY poor little ordinary joes who can't even scratch him - is an insult to the whole mythos built up over 30 years. He never needed to before - but, then, the writers who portrayed him knew what they were doing; not so at DC - and this with backing from Mattel!
And this - and Teela the foul-mouthed stripper - is meant to be MATURE...!
Unmitigated garbage. Avoid like bubonic plague.
The artwork displayed here deserves to be associated with better; it really does. I feel for the artist.
