That is so amazingly kewl. Do you ever go into a comic book store with your friends and point at a comic and say, "I drew that."? Cause i so would if i were as good as you. Also do you do the entire comics or just the covers? Sorry I'm asking alot of questions, I just feel like I met someone famous.
Mostly covers right now because I'm busy with work, but I am doing cover and interior on a book right now - I'll post those pages soon...and I don't point out my covers I just stand by the comic and giggle like a school girl
i so would too!!! That is so totally awesome!!! You are one of my new heroes, right up there with Clayton Crain. Tell me, has deadpool be in any of these new Cable Meesiah comics yet, cause i heard he had.
hahahaha yeah they wanted him all in the back the concept was he was 2 years in the past and she's in the same place in the present (well their present) I should have went there...DAMN i was too busy matching Ariel's suit
dude I sketched the cover to Xforce 8 I really want to finish it but I got a call from the editor on a book I'm doing interiors on and they're started to turn up the heat. First it was "It's not on the books so whenever..." now it's all "Hey how's that coming can we get some pages..." I'm hesitant because this is my no HACKING ALLOWED book, I don't want any "Deadline art" in there the book is too cool I wanted to get at least 1/2 before I started sending them in so they don't get any ideas about rushing it out
I'm planning to start doing X-Force 3 this weekend, cause I've got one of those damned jobs that forces me to wake up before Mr. Sunrise. And, for some reason, to do a little work it seems... And, apparently, to actually stay awake while here... Bastards.
You know, I don't read the title, but I guess I definitely need to pick up whatever issue(s) you're doing interiors on. LOL, and was planning to wager me buying multiple issues if I (somehow) lost our little challenge. I assumed the pressure of having to beat an non-turbo pro would make you so nervous you'd crack, thus allowing my lesserian style to surpass you, LOL. But then, I'm arrogant and enjoy talking smack.
LOL, just don't run three months late (*coughs* Ultimates3 *coughs*) and I'm sure you'll be a-okay. They have you doing your own colors for the issue, or are they passing that off to someone else?
HAHAHAHAaaaa actually it's a one-shot that's 2 YEARS late from another artist who said -"Meh not going to get to this I'm too busy, you can have it back...." and I was like HAND IT OVER and my editor did me a solid
Now, correct me if I'm off-base due to my just being all around unconventional on EVERYTHING I do, but if this is your primary job how can you NOT have time to do it? I know it's COMPLETELY bad politics, but do you want to throw him under the bus, should I guess (and burn potential future bridges of my own), or should I just nod and go sycophantic?
Just putting this out there (cause I say it EVERYWHERE), but if you can meet something resembling a schedule so books are obscenely late that need to load you up and give you the big bucks. Or, I'll use you as a frontman and put you to use for MY nefarious purposes. MWAHAHAHAHA!
Congrats on the assignment tho. LOL, hopefully you get it done in less than two years.. I'm sure it'll be "teh awesomesawce" or whatever it is the kids say these days..
Yeah I won't blast him but I've got zero sympathy. I work full time in games 9-10 hrs a day, do monthly covers and I'm almost 1/2 done on the book (will be by Comic-con). To his credit, he wanted to paint it all, which is awesome but it'll never come out and by the time it does who'll care y'know?! Painted books only work if you're Alex Ross, he knows how to lay down the right amount of detail evenly so as not to break the flow. Dudes like me are trying to make a cover out of each panel....nope
Ah thanks, I knew making the little girl all grizzly like Cable wasn't the move and staring at her a million times before they're like "OK WE NEED IT LIKE NOW!!" there's always something you wished you did
